contracts for certain types of financial assistance to public entities within the Red River Basin in Texas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The Authority is authorized by the State of Texas to issue its tax-exempt contract revenue bonds on behalf of qualifying public entities for the purpose of developing or expanding infrastructure beneficial to the public such as water and wastewater facilities, solid waste management and\/or disposal facilities and water resource development projects designed to meet long-range public needs of cities requiring financial assistance within the basin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Additionally, the Authority, through its subsidiary corporation, the Red River Industrial Development Authority, may provide financing through the issuance of its industrial development bonds or private activity bonds for planned economic development projects, manufacturing, pollution control facilities, city parks and recreation facilities, and other projects aimed at
