Customers are responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, and required reporting of these devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Customer Responsibilities:<\/strong><br>Customers are responsible for water usage recorded through their meter, as well as pressure regulators and customer-owned backflow prevention devices. Backflow prevention assemblies must be tested annually or as otherwise required by the Authority or TCEQ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Meter Services:<\/strong><br>Billing adjustment requests must meet established requirements. Data-logging or meter-accuracy testing fees will only be reimbursed when a meter is determined to be malfunctioning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These updates are intended to clarify customer responsibilities and strengthen protection of the public water supply.
