Adopt-A-Highway – As an organization, we want to give back to our communities while fostering stronger relationships with our employees and customers.  The Adopt-A-Highway (AAH) program was first started in Texas in the 1980s and was popularized by the “Don’t Mess with Texas” campaign.

The AAH is a program that empowers residents to make a positive impact by picking up litter at least four times a year.  This incredible opportunity invites our employees and their families to forge deeper connections, make a meaningful impact on the environment, and play an active role in preserving the beauty of Texas for generations to come.

Red River Authority of Texas is proud to have a two-mile portion of highway located in Wichita Falls to maintain.
